Oh, what an exciting day! I've definitely been getting around a lot better. There's really no pain now, except when I stand up at first. I use the crutches to gain a sense of balance then I'm usually good after that.
I walked up the stairs today, and that was a relief. Especially since Steve is coming up from Philly and is crashing here tonight. Staying downstairs with him would be rough, seeing as he snores pretty loud! But really, it was nice to be able to go upstairs and know I'll be able to sleep on a comfy bed tonight.
I also finally got to take a shower and change my bandage. I took some pictures when I changed the bandage. To spare those with a weak stomach, I included links to them:

ReplyDeleteHAHA! It's more impressive in person! The cuts aren't as big as I thought they were going to be, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking the WALK for the cure of Breast Cancer today. Try to keep you legs elevated above your heart as much as possible. I know its hard but concidering what you have been through it's just a matter of remembering and letting your pillows do the work.
